“I am truly honored to have beenone of the recipients of the Galway Flute Festival Scholarship Award. 

Shocked is the first word that came to mind when my name was announced as a recipient. As the news began to settle I became overwhelmed with excitement and a little doubt as I would've never imagined that moment would have been mine but I am most certainly grateful for it. The improvisation with Bill McBirnie workshop was a very informative and engaging masterclass. It was great getting his feedback as well as an insight into how he approaches improvisation and music interpretation.

With each passing year, it becomes even more exciting to attend the Galway Flute Festival.This is all due to the safe culture and community that you cultivated online, afeat that is not easy. 

Learning from others in the festival as well as in my own masterclass opportunity with Lady Galway has given me so much to reflect and work on in my own practice. I hope that my participation this year reflected the work I have done since the last festival. My musical pursuits would not be possible without your generosity and support.
