She is also an Associate Professor of flute at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory. Flutist Aslihan And, who was presented with the "Rising Star" Award by the legendary flutist Sir James Galway, was awarded the golden flute headjoint in the Galway Flute Festival (Switzerland). She has performed concerts in various countries including France, Switzerland, Germany, USA, Italy, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Kosovo, Taiwan, and the Republic of China.

Aslıhan And was the principal flutist at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet between 2016 and 2020. She also served as a substitute flutist in the North German Radio (NDR) Symphony Orchestra and the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra. She has given recitals at prestigious festivals such as the "Galway Flute Festival" in Switzerland, and has also performed at "Shengqi He International Summer Camp”, “1st China-Europe International Flute Music Festival" (Republic of China) and "Flutissimo Flute Festival" (France) and "Dorian Music Festival" (Taiwan) and has given recitals, masterclasses and served as a jury member in festival competitions. Aslıhan And, who is preparing to release a new album consisting of virtuoso pieces, plays with 16K Nagahara headjoint and Landell flute.

Orchestre National de France, Paris

Silvia Careddu made an auspicious start to her career by winning unanimously the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 56. Concours International de Musique de Genève.

Following the award, Lorin Maazel invited Silvia to become Principal flute for his newly founded Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini. Helding the same position, she later joined the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Wiener Symphoniker and the Wiener Philharmoniker - Wiener Staatsoper.

Since 2021, Silvia Careddu is Principal Flute of the Orchestre National de France, in Paris. Professor at the Zürich Hochschule der Künste-ZHdK and at the École Normale de Musique "A. Cortot" in Paris, she teaches in London as well, at the Royal Academy of Music as Visiting Professor and at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

Recipient of the 2016 Sir James Galway Rising Star Award, 1st Prize winner of the 2018 IMKA Music Competition and 1st Prize winner of the 2018 Alexander & Buono International Flute Competition, Stephen Clark has given over a thousand performances across all 7 continents and made his New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall in 2018. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Royal Northern College of Music and in Switzerland with Sir James Galway. Stephen is the Flute Professor at Northwestern State University.

He has performed as solo flute player alongside several popular music artists including Annie Lennox, Andrea Bocelli and pop band McFly. As an orchestral player, Stephen has held principal flute positions and performed as Guest principal flute with major symphony orchestras of the United Kingdom, United States, Portugal, Ireland and Vietnam. He has worked with many significant conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Neeme Järvi, Sir Simon Rattle, Jorma Panula and Sir Mark Elder.

London Symphony Orchestra

Gareth Davies is one of the flautists of his generation. He  studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Shortly after graduating, he was appointed Principal flute in the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at the age of 23. During his time on the south coast, he recorded the Nielsen concerto with the orchestra. In 2000, Gareth was invited to become Principal flute with the London Symphony Orchestra where he has remained ever since. During his time there, he has played and recorded with many of the great conductors including Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, Haitink, Previn, Jansons, Rostropovich and Boulez.

As well as performing, Gareth is in demand as a teacher and regularly coaches woodwind students at the London music colleges as well as giving masterclasses in London, New York, Tokyo and Beijing.

Philipp Jundt performs as a soloist with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, with the Camerata Zurich, with the chamber orchestras of Bern, Basel, and Zurich, with the Camerata Munich and with the Lithuanian Chamber Or-chestra; in Korea with the Korean Symphony and Chamber Orchestra and with the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra. The flutist has played under renowned conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, David Philip Hefti, Alexander Lazarev, Fabio Luisi, Zubin Metha, Krzysztof Penderecki, Helmut Rilling, Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Jeffrey Tate. He has also collaborated musically with Sir Colin Davies and Lorin Maazel.

Since 2012 Philipp Jundt is director of the Korean Flute Educator's Association and since 2016 president of the Swiss Korean Cultural Association, which is dedicated to the promotion and ex-change of Korean and Swiss artists, such as a joint production of Ballet Basel and Seoul Ballet Theatre.

Professor of flute at the Conservatorio “San Pietro a Majella”, Naples

Defined by critics as “the man who gives voice to the flute in Italy”, Salvatore Lombardi is a multifaceted artist, who combines his concert career with teaching and artistic direction of international flute initiatives.

After his studies at the prestigious San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples, headed by Ferdinando Staiano. He improved himself with renewed soloists and teachers, including Severino Gazzelloni, Maxence Larrieu and Glauco Cambursano.

Currently full Professor of flute at the Conservatorio “San Pietro a Majella” in Naples, he is regularly invited to hold seminars and masterclasses by the world’s leading associations and institutions.

He is the president of the Associazione Flautisti Italiani (Associazione Afi-Falaut ets) and the creator and founder of the magazine “Falaut”, defined by international critics as one of the most comprehensive and interesting magazines published in recent years. Furthermore, he is the artistic director of the “Falaut collection” series, of the “Fallout Festival”, “Flautomania”, Severino Gazzelloni” International Flute Competition and “Falaut Campus”.

Former Piccolo Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra

Nicola Mazzanti has served as Solo Piccolo of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra since 1988. He performs frequently as both a flute and piccolo soloist and in chamber ensembles in Italy and abroad. He has performed at many flute conventions in the US, Europe and Japan. Sir James Galway has invited him to perform at his masterclass in Weggis every year since 2008. Mazzanti teaches piccolo at the Hochschule in Luzern, at the Conservatorio in Lugano (Switzerland) and since 2013 at the Conservatorio “Verdi” in Milano. He has released several solo CDs, including a Liebermann’s Piccolo Concerto. His book "The Mazzanti Method" for piccolo (2014) published by Theodore Presser, has been welcomed as a milestone in the teaching of this instrument.

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

Kersten McCall, principal flutist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, grew up in Donaueschingen, Germany where the Donaueschingen Festival for contemporary music is still held every October. It was in this rich musical environment that McCall took up the flute at the age of nine. He later studied with Felix Renggli in Schaffhausen and with Renate Greiss-Armin and Aurèle Nicolet in Karlsruhe. McCall won first prize at the 1997 Kobe International Flute Competition in Japan and third prize at the 2000 ARD International Music Competition. McCall served as principal flautist of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Saarbrücken, also having played as guest principal with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the New York Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He was appointed principal flautist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in November 2005. McCall is Professor of Flute at Amsterdam Conservatory.

Verdi “ Conservatory in Turin after attending Dartington Hall and Sion courses he obtain the “Superior Diploma” with honours and special mention with P.L. Accademia Nazionale die Santa Cecilia Orchestra, Rome, Italy

Flautist Andrea Oliva studied with Gabriele Betti, Claudio Montafia, Glauco Cambursano, Jean Claude Gerard and Sir James Galway. He was invited as Principal Flute by the Berlin Philharmonic at the age of 23, during his Karajan Academy period, under the baton of Claudio Abbado and Mariss Jansons. He was awarded the third prize at the ARD Munich (2004) and first prize at the Kobe International Flute Competition (2005). He also collaborates with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. He has performed as soloist with the Accademia di Santa Cecilia Orchestra (Nielsen Concerto and the italian premiere of Dalbavie Concerto). He is a member of the Wind Quintet of Santa Cecila and Concertgeboeuw and I Cameristi di Santa Cecilia. As soloist and teacher he has been invited by many flute festivals in China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, USA, UK, Slovenia, Germany and Italy. He has recorded CDs for the labels Da Vinci Publishing, Falaut edition, Aulicus Classics, ARTS, Chant de Linos, VDM, Hyperion, Decca and Sony.

Wiener Philharmoniker

Karl-Heinz Schütz is Solo Flute of Wiener Philharmoniker and therefore in the same position at the Wiener Staatsoper, having held the same position with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker for four years, and with the Wiener Symphoniker from 2005 to 2011.

He won first prizes at the Carl Nielsen International Music Competition in 1998 und the International Flute Competition Kraków in 1999. He has performed as soloist across Europe and Japan, with performances of the importantflute concertos with Wiener Philharmonikerand Symphoniker as well as NHK Tokyo and Sapporo symphony orchestra, a.o. Conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Fabio Luisi, Yakov Kreizberg, Dmitrij Kitajenko and Bertrand de Billy invited him to be the soloist in their concerts.

Karl-Heinz Schütz is Professor of Flute at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität Wien and has held several guest professorships. He gives master-classes throughout Europe and is also an active recording artist, especially for CAMERATA TOKYO, where his Mozart, Prokoffiev and Brahms Cds were released.

Former Piccolo - Frankfurt Radio Symphony

The American Flutist THADDEUS WATSON, piccolist of many years with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, studied with Walfrid Kujala in Chicago, Aurèle Nicolet in Freiburg im Breisgau and James Galway in Luzern. In addition he visited master classes with Marcel Moyse in Boswil.

Watson has been active as soloist and chamber musician with concerts throughout the world, and has been espescially active in music oft he avante-garde. He has performed as soloist in the Zabgreb Biennial and the Budapest Spring festivals.

He is a member of the „World Orchestra for Peace“ (Sir Georg Solti founder – Valery Gergeiev conductor), the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, and as piccolist has a long year relationship with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

Pianist
Regarded as one of the leading accompanists of her generation in Ireland, Dearbhla Brosnan began her musical studies at the Royal Irish Academy of Music where she studied piano with John O'Conor. She received an Honours Degree in Music from Trinity College Dublin, before commencing her postgraduate study at the Royal Academy of Music, London.

Dearbhla has performed extensively throughout Ireland, Europe, the United States and Asia as a recitalist and chamber musician, in venues from Dublin’s National Concert Hall to St Martin-in-the-Fields. As an instrumental accompanist at the RIAM, Dearbhla has worked with many distinguished musicians including violinist Daniel Rowland, cellists Daniel Müller Schott and Alban Gerhardt, clarinettist Michael Collins and flautist Sir James Galway.

She has frequently broadcast on both television and radio and has worked as official accompanist for music festivals and competitions including the Galway Flute Festival, the Freemasons’ Young Musician of the Year and the Dublin International Chamber Music Festival.

Pianist
Born in Piombino on March 22, 1993, she graduated in 2011 with top honors (10/10) in piano under the guidance of Alessandro Gagliardi and Daniel Rivera at the “P. Mascagni” Institute in Livorno. Under the guidance of Marcella Crudeli, she earned the Superior Course diploma (a biennial program) in just one year at the Schola Cantorum in Paris in June 2013. In 2017, she graduated in Chamber Music under the mentorship of Nazzareno Carusi at the International Piano Academy "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola, and in 2018, she graduated in Chamber Music under Giampaolo Pretto at the Fiesole School of Music playing with Luna Vigni.

As a piano collaborator, she has been invited to the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna, the Arturo Toscanini Foundation in Parma, and has accompanied masterclasses of international musicians such as Carlo Maria Parazzoli, Daniele Orlando, Giovanni Gnocchi, Pieter Wispelwey, Albrecht Mayer, Francesco Di Rosa, Luca Vignali, Wenzel Fuchs, Calogero Palermo, Alessandro Carbonare, Francesco Loi, Giampaolo Pretto, Paolo Taballione, Michele Marasco, Andrea Griminelli, Emmanuel Pahud, and Sir James Galway.

Born in Austin, Texas, William Hobbs received his Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance summa cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder (USA), and a Master of Music in Piano Performance, Research and Literature from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

As soloist, Mr. Hobbs was featured with orchestras and ensembles such as the Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra in Lisbon, Portugal (Mozart) and the University of Colorado Wind Ensemble (Stravinsky, Messiaen). As recitalist, he has been featured in festivals like the Hamptons Music Festival (Southampton NY), the Chester Music Festival (Chester, England) and Chamber Music Hellas (Thessaly, Greece). He has performed full and partial recitals in over a dozen countries, including the United States, England, Korea, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Malta, Poland and others. As chamber musician, he has collaborated with many of today’s top performers, including Sir James Galway, Yo-Yo Ma, Ida Kavafian, and many others.

Composer in Residence
Among America’s internationally heralded composers, Lowell Liebermann stands out as an artist who defies easy categorization. Performed by illustrious orchestras and soloists throughout the world, his music has delighted listeners and critics alike. He is that rare phenomenon: a composer of immense popularity and lasting profundity.

Mr. Liebermann has written more than one hundred forty works in all genres, several of which have gone on to become standard repertoire for their instruments. He has composed four symphonies, a Concerto for Orchestra, three piano concertos, and concertos for many other instruments. His works have been premiered by major orchestras, including the Dallas Symphony, the National Symphony, and the New York Philharmonic. His Sonata for Flute and Piano and Gargoyles for piano are among the most popular contemporary works for their instruments, regularly included in recital and competition programs. His full-length ballet Frankenstein, co-commissioned by London’s Royal Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet, has been released on Blu-Ray and DVD.
